Entry One

So I have to steer away from major projects at the moment considering I'm moving to France in a few weeks, which believe me doesn't give me this warm cozy excited feeling that it should. Instead I'm sad to leave, irrespective, I'll be back and then I'll be able to start my bigger projects like mastering my sewing machine and dress maker doll, planting a veggie garden, starting up a bee hive, and doing this big painting I've had in my head for several months. But their are smaller things I can conquer right now such as baking, reading, writing, and doing some research in particular at the moment I'm interested in polycyclic sleep patterns and raw veganism.

Which leads me too this documentary that I recently watched called Gasland, it really reminded me of the book Monsanto (also in documentary form which probably would have been a lot easier to digest in a shorter amount of time), not that it is the same subject matter but once again you're seeing this complete disregard for the common man and the focus is on money, money, money. Capitalism plus no humanity. I'll attach the link and its watchable online, here. The focus of the documentary is in regards to natural gas drilling in America, whereby Josh Fox, a man who is asked to lease his land for that very purpose decides to investigate the effects of doing so. He discovers that the process of drilling for the gas is poisoning Americas water supply. It made me feel sick even though I'm not American and I don't live within the areas of these Natural Gas sources. I'd like to note that whenever I watch or read these things I can't help thinking what the situation is in Australia in respect to this types of things. I was happy to hear that an Australian focused version of Earthlings was coming out (or possibly already is) but their needs to be more material available about Australia, so I guess that's my next challenge.
